BBC Sound Index：1000大流行歌曲
传统的音乐电台榜单主要依据两个数据，一是专辑销量，二是歌曲在电台播放的次数。可是互联网已经改变了传统的音乐传播和购买方式，CD卖的越来越少，人们更多选择在网上直接购买下载歌曲；电台的听众也不再是固定时间的那些收音机旁的拥趸，而是网络电台。顺应这个趋势，BBC推出了Sound Index，它从Bebo、MySpace、Last.fm、iTunes、Amazon、Google和 YouTube上，获取歌曲的播放次数、购买数量以及人们的评价，推出了一个Top1000流行歌曲榜单。见下图。
这个榜单是一个动态的时间轴线，Sound Index会每6小时更新一次数据。目前的第一名是麦当娜大姐的“Hard Candy”。点击top1000这个标签会看到更详细的资料，点击图片会进入歌手和歌曲介绍。
这个榜单对乐评人可能会有些用处。对于普通歌迷来说，还好有搜索，我们可以看看自己喜欢的歌手排在什么位置。另外，在My Index这个标签里还可以对榜单进行过滤，比如只显示女歌手的榜单；在这里还可以自己对榜单进行排序。
BBC Launches Social Media Music Chart
(via readwriteweb) BBC Radio 1 announced a major update to their music charts about a week ago. Traditionally, mainstream music popularity has been measured by album sales or radio plays — or a combination of the two. But with albums selling fewer copies through traditional channels and radio losing ground to online music, the Beeb decided to take a look at the web to determine artist popularity.
