这个题目从右往左读，就是江湖上流传甚广的那句话啦：平生不识陈近南，便是英雄也枉然。我是用一个非常简单的小工具Flip，把这句“翻”了过来，变成了传统的中文阅读习惯——从右往左读。下面是flip的样子。
把句子写在上面，点击Flip就可以了。这个有什么用呢？大概就像我们上面说的，可以把按从右到左阅读的文字转换成我们现在习惯的阅读方式。或者，就是简单做个出人意表的效果。
要说出人意表，还得是翻转英文，不仅是左右顺序变了，而且文字也完全颠倒了。请看下面这个例子。

文字转化为语音已经不是一个很难的技术了，当然只限于英语、法语、西班牙语等几种语言。我们介绍过的pediaphon就是一个专门转化wikipedia上的文章的服务。而现在要说的ReadTheWords，则可以把多种来源的文字转换为语音。
可以转化的文字来源有，打字；上传的word或者pdf文档，小于800K；网页；Rss文件。非常有特色的是，readthewords转化的声音不只有一种，这里有15种声音，你可以挑选转化成哪一种。转化好的是mp3文件，也可以贴到自己的空间中。

Connect2earth，一个由爱环境的人们组成的社区，大家把和环境有关的文字、图片、视频贡献到这里，可以互相欣赏和评价。网站刚刚上线，用户之间互相加为朋友、发消息等功能还未开通。这个网站由世界自然基金会（WWF）和国际自然保护联盟（IUCN）共同发起，得到了诺基亚的支持。

(via WWF) Forget Facebook, MySpace or You Tube: here comes connect2earth, a new online community where young people can upload videos, pictures and comments about the environment.
On www.connect2earth.org, users and visitors will be able to write, speak, illustrate and video present their concerns on subjects important to them, and share environmental ideas and solutions.
Gtalk推出了跨语种聊天翻译机器人服务，你可以在多人会话中添加一个聊天翻译机器人，作为同声翻译，或者只是简单的把它作为一个翻译工具也可以。左图是两个人聊天加英中、中英两种机器人。
现在推出并且能够正常使用的有24种聊天机器人，ar2en，de2en，de2fr，el2en，en2ar，

值得注意的是，在早先的一份机器人名单中，还有保加利亚、芬兰、Hindi（北印度语）、克罗地亚、乌克兰、Urdu（通行于印度和巴基斯坦的一种语言）这6种语言翻译到英语的服务，但是现在还不能添加使用，而这6种语言翻译在Google translate当中是不存在的。
另外，不要再谈什么Babel fish了，Gtalk机器人完全采用的是google自家的翻译技术，google和systran公司的合作早已经结束了。
好了，就说到这里吧，我们只能把机器翻译当作一个节日小游戏，和国外的朋友相互问候一下，除了一些词和短语，不要指望它能表达你的丰富的感情。它会像中国的xiaoi一样很快销声匿迹的。
Gtalk Bots, only a holiday game
Gtalk offers 24 tranlation bots to help people from different country have a coversation using their mother language, or just as a im translation tool.
The 24 translation bots currently avaible are:ar2en, de2en, de2fr, el2en, en2ar, en2de, en2el, en2es, en2fr, en2it, en2ja, en2ko, en2nl, en2ru, en2zh, es2en, fr2de, fr2en, it2en, ja2en, ko2en, nl2en, ru2en, zh2en.
Somthing interesting is Bulgarian, Finnish, Hindi, Croatian, Ukranian and Urdu are in one previous bot list, but these service are not even included in Google translate, this will be their debut.
Don’t say babel fish anymore, gtalk bot is powered ty google’s own translation technology, the co-operation between google and systran was over months ago.
Ok, that’s it.Don’t think these bots can make your conversation fluently and clearly, it’s too hard to artificial intelligence now.It’s only a holiday game. Gtalk bots will vanished soon as the similar bot Xiaoi in China.
用Skype打电话，双方都是电脑的话，那么是免费的；如果想给对方的固定或者移动电话打电话的话，就要付出一些费用，而拨打的一方还要坐在电脑旁。
Jaxtr可以完全解决这个问题。首先需要注册一个免费的帐户，然后绑定你想使用的一个号码，紧接着jaxtr会给你打一个确认电话（机器自动打的），按一下屏幕上显示的需要确认的数字，你的号码就通过了验证。（我没有输入号码，也被验证通过了！是因为手机不用按吗？呵呵）
下一步就可以邀请你的朋友来进行通话了，用户之间用PC通话，可以直接用对方的Jaxtr地址。比skype体验好的是，不需要下载软件。！
Jaxtr的最大创举在于对widget的应用。可以把jaxtr的widget或者链接加到自己的邮件签名档，放在自己的博客上，或者直接发送给朋友。下面的图就是其中一种widget：
这样，对方点击“call me free”，然后输入对方的号码，拨打，你听就可以了。这样双方就实现了都用电话却不花一分钱。通话结束后，widget上会出现一个机器生成的号码，对方存储这个号码，以后直接拨这个号码就可以给你打电话了。免费的通话时间限制在每月100分钟。
还可以用widget免费发短信哦，“text me” ！
Jajah也是一个类似的平台，用户间通话免费，也有类似的widget服务。Jajah还有类似skype的直接给座机或手机打电话的功能，也需要收取一些费用，对中国来讲是0.28美分/分钟，比电信便宜，但是好像比skype贵（0.18欧元/分钟）。
目前一些婚恋网站支持自己的用户把jaxtr放在自己的个人资料页上，欢迎别人联系。
