SlideShare和authorSTREAM是一对竞争对手，它们的工作领域可谓极狭窄，就是存储、播放和分享幻灯片（PPT）。两个网站上传的速度都很快，打开的速度也不错。以至于同一个文件在两个平台上的效果可能分不出优劣，大家可以看一下：文件在SlideShare上，在authorSTREAM上。

SlideShare兼容的格式有ppt、 pps & pot、pdf、odp；authorSTREAM兼容的格式有，ppt、 pps、 pptx、ppsx。

还记得我们介绍过的那个剪接视频易如反掌的Omnisio吗？现在它又增加了插播幻灯片功能，即在播放视频的同时播放幻灯片。幻灯片可以由本地电脑上传（必须是PDF格式），或者由Slideshare（它是专门提供幻灯片存储、播放服务的）导入。设想一下旅游归来，把视频和图片放到一起播放，该是多有意思。
