这只带着眼镜的小猴子就是雅虎的语义搜索（semantic search）项目SearchMonkey的图标了。这篇文章的结尾曾经对SearchMonkey做过一些介绍。它的主要的作用是雅虎允许他的合作伙伴对搜索结果进行编辑，使得信息呈现的“更有意义”。之前在做项目介绍的时候，雅虎曾给出过两张示意图，现在他又推出了23个合作伙伴的集中展示页面。下面是一个截图。

左侧是这些合作伙伴所属的分类，非常的齐全；中间则是具体的合作伙伴的名字，点击则可以观看他们利用searchmonkey平台整合的效果，即未来出现在雅虎搜索结果中的样子。

想知道未来Google Universal Search（这篇文章有一点介绍）的样子？看看Yahoo Glue吧。这可不是开玩笑。同google universal search一样，yahoo glue也是要在搜索结果页中集成多种搜索结果，比如视频、图片、文档、新闻等等。不同的是，google universal search还在酝酿中，而yahoo glue我们已经可以看到庐山真面目了。雅虎印度搜索已经开始提供glue的搜索结果页。先来感受一下吧。

下图是搜索taj mahal（泰姬陵）。

这个试验页面目前同时提供经典的雅虎搜索结果和glue搜索结果页，图中蓝框所示。在taj mahal的glue结果页当中，左侧的一列还是传统的由文字和链接构成的搜索结果，同时在右侧遍布着大量的泰姬陵的视频。

测试当中的yahoo glue目前只可以搜索体育、旅游、娱乐、健康、股票、科技这六大类内容。再来看看搜索liverpool（利物浦）的glue页面(截图)。

结果中集成了维基百科中的利物浦词条，利物浦队的新闻，英超联赛积分榜等等。真的很实用。

这里有必要再说说雅虎的Search Monkey项目，它的目的是让网站拥有者或者第三方来将搜索结果整合的更有意义。有些抽象？看看下面这个图。

上图是经典的搜索结果，下图则是search monkey整合后的更有意义的结果，信息分明，简直像网上商场的产品清单一样清楚。

无论是开放的search monkey，还是很好的整合搜索页面glue，雅虎对于搜索结果的改造可以说走在了google的前头。如果二者结合起来的话，哦，想象一下，多么美妙的搜索结果页。

That’s what happened with Yahoo Glue, a new way to present search results more visually that Yahoo is experimenting with on its Yahoo India site.
