Google Friend Connect预览发布，中小网站变身社群站点
Google媒体中心刚刚宣布Friend Connect进入预览发布。这个项目的名字居然和Facebook的Friend Connect一样，然而内容却不尽相同。Myspace的Data Availability和Facebook的这个项目是一类，他们的目标是使社群站点之间的用户资料、应用互通；而Google的Friend Connect却可以使不是社群站点的网站（大多很小）变身为社群站点，然后和其他的社群站点之间实现资料便携。看看下面这个示意图吧。
Google说，中小网站只要加入一段代码就可以具有社群功能，比如会员资料页、会员之间的交流、第三方工具的使用等等，不需要什么专业的IT人员就能做到。照图中所示，新用户将可以使用OpenID验证身份，并建立自己的资料页；可以导入基于支持OAuth协议的社群站点的个人以及朋友的资料；可以使用基于OpenSocial平台的应用。
Google Friend Connect项目也是逐渐扩展的，如果你想成为合作伙伴，可以到这个网址进行申请，不过还要等上半天时间，现在还无法访问：http://www.google.com/friendconnect/
Google Friend Connect的合作站点目前也没有实例可看，大约也要等上半天，这位独立歌手的网站http://www.ingridmichaelson.com/将变身一个社群站点，我们拭目以待。
突然想到Google的迷人之处，他们总是为大多数的人服务，这最大多数的人也会给他最多的回报，尽管每个个体的回报都不大。

(NASDAQ: GOOG) will announce a preview release of Google Friend Connect, a service that helps website owners grow traffic by enabling any site on the web to easily provide social features for its visitors.
Websites that are not social networks may still want to be social — and now they can be, easily. With Google Friend Connect (see http://www.google.com/friendconnect following this evening’s Campfire One), any website owner can add a snippet of code to his or her site and get social features up and running immediately without programming — picking and choosing from built-in functionality like user registration, invitations, members gallery, message posting, and reviews, as well as third-party applications built by the OpenSocial developer community.
