Adobe今天推出了Acrobat.com，这个网站实际上是Adobe网络服务的一个套装。主要的服务有5项，见下图。

第一项服务是Buzzword，到目前为止Adobe推出的一个在线文档编辑工具，虽然它的速度很快，但是仅仅是文字处理，功能太单薄了，还不能和google docs以及zoho竞争。

第二项服务是ConnectNow。这是一个非常有特色的网络会议工具，可以视频通话，共享桌面，传送文件，还有会议白板（whiteboards）。

第三项服务是创建PDF文件。

第四项服务是分享文件（Share），可以给联系人发送文件链接，他们可以在线观看。

第五项服务是网络存储（My Files），5G的免费空间。

随Acrobat.com一同发布的，还有新版的PDF阅读器Acrobat 9。最大的变化在于，Acrobat 9支持在PDF文档中嵌入flash，比如一段youtube视频。

我们介绍过PDF和文本文档（txt）、Word文档之间转化的工具，怎样将网页转化为PDF文档呢？htm2pdf（名字多直白）是一个好工具，不过，它只对英文站点有效，可能有些朋友会有用吧。操作非常简单，写好网页地址（当然你也可以选择贴上网页代码），然后点击“convert to pdf”就可以了。它还有两个小选项也很好，就是“是否包含flash影片”和“是否保持网页内链接有效”。

Google的图书扫描服务终于有了竞争对手，惠普实验室推出了BookPrep。它能够自动展平页面并调整文字位置，校正靠近书脊处看起来歪斜的文字，清洁页面褶皱并增加亮度，扫描后的页面是一个高质量的PDF文档。下图是一个示例，点击看大图。

感觉bookprep的扫描结果比google的要干净，文字也更加清楚些。

Google的图书扫描服务主要用于它的图书搜索，再链接到相关的图书售卖网站的某一本现有图书来获利。而bookprep的策略则是和出版商、图书售卖网站、个性打印网站等合作，把很难找到的、甚至绝版的书扫描出来，拿到网站上出售，或者作为定制商品出售给个人。可以说，bookprep所瞄准的市场的尾巴更长一些。

Bookprep和一家菜谱网站Foodsville合作，推出了一些非常古旧的菜谱书，有1898年的书哟。

把文档嵌入到网页，我们已经有了一些不错的选择，比如Scirbd和Docstoc。但是当我们想潜入更丰富的文档，比如电子杂志的时候，上面说的这两个网站提供的服务则表现平平。Issuu很愉快的填补了这一空缺。
上传你的电子杂志，可以调整背景颜色和尺寸。观看电子杂志可以方便的缩放，还可以全屏播放，或者显示缩率图。这里还是一个丰富的电子杂志社区，你会找到很多个性杂志。下面嵌入一个和野生动物有关的杂志。

However, there’s another document sharing service that has been around since early 2006, and boy if it doesn’t have some good things going for it. It’s called Issuu (pronounced “issue”) and it’s all about documents. In this case, it’s only the ones in PDF format. Users can put together compilations of content and share them as they would photos or videos on other hosting services.

PDF文件要转换成txt文件和doc文件不是一件容易的事，反之亦然。那我们就介绍一些小工具让这件事变得easy。

1.从pdf到txt

PDFTextOnline是一个在线工具，选择一个pdf文件，它就会自动转化了，没什么更多可说的。

2.从pdf到doc(word)

Free PDF to Word Doc Converter，名字很直接吧，这个稍微麻烦点，需要下载软件。它的功能着实强大，可以选择转化的页数，可以把pdf当中的图表和图片保存到word文件当中。

3. 从txt/doc到pdf

实际上这个网络工具是可以把txt/doc/ppt/jpg/gif/rtf/xls这些文件转换成pdf文件，它就是KoolWire。它的工作方式很“隐蔽”，我们需要将要转化的文件作为邮件附件发送到pdf@koolwire.com。过一会，它就会把转换好的文件发回来了。

更新：Jason提醒说，正在测试中的Adobe Share也可以将doc文档转化为PDF文档。我试了一下确实是这样。需要注意的是，adobe share目前不支持中文的文件名。
