Prism 0.9，更快、更美观、更多功能

去年10月底，Mozilla实验室推出了Prism 0.8，一个能把网页工具转变成桌面软件的小工具；今天，它的0.9新版终于推出了，丑小鸭长大了不少。

在去年那篇文章的结尾，我曾经说“现在的prism还需要下载，未来应该也是可以基于web的” ，0.9版果然推出了基于firefox的插件，不过只适用于最新的firefox 3.0b3。相信后面的版本会支持更多版本的firefox。

Prism 0.9新增加的一个功能是自动搜寻图标，这让转化后的软件更美观，也更容易辨认。而在上一个版本中，默认的图标都是一个，如果要更改的话，必须手动设置。如下图所示。

另外，新版转化后的软件在运行时是出于不同的进程，这样避免了互相干扰。新版的运行速度也比旧版快了不少。

总体感觉prism的发展越来越好，而模糊网页工具和桌面软件又是一个当前非常热门的领域，Adobe Air前几天也推出了一个新版本。当然，prism目前只是一个转化工具，而air则是一个平台，很多软件可以在这个平台上运行。

Weave：编织Mozilla的社区梦

无论是Opera还是Mozilla Firefox都不在满足于让自己的浏览器产品更快的访问站点，更流畅的播放站点内流媒体文件，它们想让浏览器做到更多。首先想到的就是社区化，让人们在浏览器里面储存和管理个人信息，在浏览器里面和朋友相互交流。

Opera在9.5这个测试版本中加入了Syncronize这个功能，即个人登录opera社区后，本机包括手机的个性化设置（主要指书签和快速启动项）将自动保存在社区里。你一样可以在其他电脑或者手机上登录后使用这些个性化设置。

Mozilla labs于昨天也推出了类似的功能，称为Weave。Mozilla比较模糊、但是又信誓旦旦的说明了这项服务的目的在于：增强用户体验，提高用户控制个人信息的能力，为开发者提供平台研发创新性的在线应用。

同时，Mozilla还提供了一些实例来具体的说明Weave能做些什么事。实例一共分为4项，但是归根结底在于，在线保存用户的浏览记录和书签等个性化设置，以保证在不同终端上都能访问。这和Opera syncronize的功能是相同的。

更加值得关注的是一点回忆，Mozilla labs 4月推出了Coop服务，这是一个让用户在浏览器内就能联系到用户，并且能够实时跟踪用户行为的服务。它能让用户之间轻易的对话和分享，能够提供综合的Feed，这些都是社区网站安身立命的根本功能。见下图，点击看大图。

Just like opera opened  its syncronize featrue, Mozilla labs launched the Weave. Mozilla described weave like this:

This project will be known as Weave and it will focus on finding ways to enhance the Firefox user experience, increase user control over personal information, and provide new opportunities for developers to build innovative online experiences. 

It’s too abstract to understand what weave means. But Mozilla gave some cases, through these cases we can know, weave focus on browse information and personalized information deserve(bookmarks). Then we can view the same information by different PC. It’s the same as opera syncronize, at least for now.

Someting deserved more concern is the Coop, mozilla labs opened in april. Coop allows people to communicate inside browser, and update with friends too.See the pic above.
