据纽约时报报道，雅虎有意加入Google Open Social联盟，如果这一消息属实的话，无疑是open socail的一场重大胜利，因为雅虎旗下的众多社群站点（如Flickr）将带来庞大的用户。此前，open socia已经得到了myspace、bebo、Ning等大型社群站点的支持。

Google open social是一套公开的技术标准，共同采用这套标准的站点之间将能更方便的实现资料的共享和转移，支持这套标准的网络工具也可以在各个站点之间通用。

雅虎的新闻发言人对这则消息不置可否，“雅虎有着支持公开标准的良好历史，比如OpenID和Apache Hadoop，我们相信行业内的合作对发展社区和网络都有好处。我们认为open social有可能成为一项公开标准，但是我们不对传言和评论进行评价”。

Facebook对open social总是有些不甘心，因为facebook自己的开发平台在过去两年也取得了巨大的成功，但是如果整个行业都支持open social的话，facebook也就必须接受了。

Yahoo May Join Google-Led Social Networking Alliance

继Google、Facebook、Plaxo决定集体加入“便携资料”工作组（DataPortability Workgroup）之后，微软也决定加入，这无疑是“便携资料”工作组取得的一个巨大成果。微软将在这一两天之内对外公布此消息。尽管微软不是一个web2.0公司，但是有超过4亿用户在使用hotmail和windows live messenger。

此前该工作组曾发布消息说，LinkedIn、Flickr、SixApart也将加入这个工作组。

据LiveSino报道，该项目将由 Windows Live 平台公司副总裁 David Treadwell 负责。

Microsoft to join Web 2.0 data portability group, says source

(via ComputerWorld) Dataportability.org, the fast-emerging group that wants to make it easier for users to share their personal contacts between different Web 2.0 and social media services, has landed perhaps its biggest fish yet: Microsoft Corp.
