这张图的左半部分是1978年6月12日的北京地区卫星图片，右半部分是2000年4月30日的卫星图片。我用两个讨厌的红圈把城区的大概位置标了一下，大家可以清楚的看到20年北京城市规模扩展的有多快。

这张图截自联合国环境署（UNEP）推出的“环境变化图集（Atlas of Our Changing Environment）” ，这个图集通过同一地区图片的对比来说明沧海桑田的变化，两张图片最长的时间差距是30年。

这个图集把照片放在了Google地图和Google地球上，看起来更方便，点击这里看地图。下面是这个地图的一张截图。

点击图片下面的“看详细信息（view detailed site information）” ，可以看到大图和介绍文字。在Google地球中观看的话，只要打开软件，在左侧栏找到“Global Awareness”，下面就有这个图集的英文名称，双击就可以看到了。这个图集对于研究人员会很有用。

奥运火炬传递是晚报每天必报的新闻，如果你觉得这些报道还不够及时，那么可以在google地图和google地球上来查看。这里还有已经经过和未到达城市的时间列表，可以点击“播放”观看完整的火炬传递线路。火炬传递地图还可以嵌入到个人的网页，下面这个就是。

除了在地图上观看以外，还可以下载火炬传递的插件，在google地球上进行立体观看，这样效果更好。下图中显示的是4月7日火炬将来到巴黎，同样，点击播放（红框所示），火炬传递的线路将自动依城市和时间动态的显示。

英国图书出版业巨头Penguin于3月下旬推出了一项名为“We tell stories”的新书推广项目。6位作者的6本小说，将在6周时间内，在互联网上以各种新奇的方式与读者见面。

“THE 21 STEPS”的亮相方式委实匪夷所思，它竟然让我们在google地图上阅读！地图上会标出主人公的行走路线，告诉你故事发生的具体位置，目前已经连载到第9章了。

“SLICE”则是模拟了博客的方式，一种是在livejournal上，一种是在twitter上，SLICE这本书是由女儿Slice和她的父母的日志两部分构成的。

“FAIRY TALES”采用的是一种互动的方式，你必须相继填写女儿的名字、国王的名字，选择能够提供帮助的动物等等一系列东西，才能不断的向下阅读，而情节中就有你提供的元素了。

“YOUR PLACE AND MINE”伦敦时间下周一晚6:30正式开始，现场直播作者的写作过程！

还有两本书，只知道发布日期，但名字和具体方式还不清楚，期待。

Love it or Hate It: Penguin’s Putting Books on Twitter and Google Maps

“藏宝图”是很多小说里的关键道具，不管黑道白道都你争我抢，而图中所标方位究竟在哪儿，还需要聪明伶俐如双儿的人才能猜得出来。这个叫placespotting的网站就是给了大家一个破解和制造藏宝图的机会。

玩法很简单，进入网站就会看到一张实景图片，是google地图上的截图，你的任务是在下面的google地图中确定它的位置。一般都会有提示，比如“沙漠中的足球场”什么的。如果你在地图上找到了这个地方，缩放程度大小一定要与藏宝图一致，那么就算找到了（不过没有奖励）。找不出来可以换一张图再找。

我们也可以给别人制造个谜局，在google地图上找到一个地方，然后写几个提示，让别人去找吧。比如下边这个我造的藏宝图，这是哪儿呢？点击下图进入网站查找。
