可能有的朋友已经注意到了，SilenceWolf的地址栏上多了一个狼头小图标。这种个性小图标在很多网站上都有，它的英文名叫favicon。这里介绍一个favicon生成器，不仅能轻松制作，而且还有如何添加到博客的方法。
制作方法异常简单，只要上传一张不超过150KB的图片，点击creat icon就可以了，如下图所示。
这时就会自动生成一个favicon.ico文件，大小为16*16。下面就是依照介绍把它添加到博客上，在More information on favicon里有解释，归纳起来有3步：
1. 把favicon.ico上传到网站根目录之下。
2. 把这段代码<link rel=”shortcut icon” href=”/favicon.ico”>添加到博客模板<head>部分之下。
3. 等它出现（我等了好几个小时）。

5月30日，我们报道了google更改了浏览器地址栏上的小图标（Favicon），从大写的G变成了小写的、看上去像8的g。今天google终于对改变这个8.5年的传统给出了官方解释。 Google搜索产品和用户体验副总裁Marissa Mayer说，google做出改变，主要是为了适应像iPhone这样新的手机平台的需要。下图是目前google正在使用的logo或者favicon。依次是logo、favicon、favicon browser、favicon mobile和favicon iPhone。
不过这只是google先期推出的接受读者考验的产品，他们实际设计了300多个图标，会陆续呈现在大家面前，下图就是一部分。
大家对这些图标有什么意见的话，可以到这个页面反馈。如果你实在不喜这个小8，可以参照之前的这篇文章结尾“更新”中提及的办法，就可以换回成大G了。
就像TechCrunch说的，google要是能把这些选项放在所谓的“群体智慧（crowdsourcing）” 网站上，供大家评论、投票，效果可能会更好。
The Story Behind Google’s New Favicon
(via TechCrunch) Recently people have been noticing that the Google favicon, the small icon in your browser’s address bar when you visit a Google site, has changed from teh familiar upper-case G to a lower-case one. Google has not changed this design in over eight years, so the change caused speculation that more design changes might be afoot. 这张小图上展示的4个标签，分别是google.com，google.co.za，google.co.jp，google.co.il显示在我的firefox浏览器中的样子，和平时显示的有什么不同吗？会觉得有些地方不对是吧，那么再看看这张图吧。
Goolge更换了地址栏上的小图标（Favicon）！从方方正正的G变成了有些像8的g。目前google官方对这一改变还没有说法。除了上述几个网站之外，我还试验了google.cn，google.co.uk，均使用的是新的小g图标。

更新：如果你不喜欢这个新的图标（事实上很多人不喜欢），那么可以尝试安装这个小程序，确定你的火狐浏览器有GreaseMonkey。安装完成后，再访问google的网站，图标就又是大G了。
