Google官方解释为何更换小图标（Favicon）
5月30日，我们报道了google更改了浏览器地址栏上的小图标（Favicon），从大写的G变成了小写的、看上去像8的g。今天google终于对改变这个8.5年的传统给出了官方解释。 Google搜索产品和用户体验副总裁Marissa Mayer说，google做出改变，主要是为了适应像iPhone这样新的手机平台的需要。下图是目前google正在使用的logo或者favicon。依次是logo、favicon、favicon browser、favicon mobile和favicon iPhone。
不过这只是google先期推出的接受读者考验的产品，他们实际设计了300多个图标，会陆续呈现在大家面前，下图就是一部分。
大家对这些图标有什么意见的话，可以到这个页面反馈。如果你实在不喜这个小8，可以参照之前的这篇文章结尾“更新”中提及的办法，就可以换回成大G了。
就像TechCrunch说的，google要是能把这些选项放在所谓的“群体智慧（crowdsourcing）” 网站上，供大家评论、投票，效果可能会更好。
The Story Behind Google’s New Favicon
(via TechCrunch) Recently people have been noticing that the Google favicon, the small icon in your browser’s address bar when you visit a Google site, has changed from teh familiar upper-case G to a lower-case one. Google has not changed this design in over eight years, so the change caused speculation that more design changes might be afoot.
