腾讯和美国在线（AOL）静悄悄的推出了QQgmaes.com，推广基于AIM（AOL自家的即时通讯工具）的QQ游戏插件。这个插件在AIM官方站点也有下载，点击下载按钮显示将近7万次。安装AIM时，系统也会提示安装QQgames插件。

QQ游戏和AIM的结合可以说是各取所需。AIM一直没有像MSN、Yahoo!messenger那样的供用户之间玩耍的小游戏，QQ游戏则填补了这个空白。腾讯则通过这个合作，进入了美国小游戏市场，同时，腾讯一直有把QQ国际化的打算，通过游戏让美国人认识QQ品牌，也是国际化进程中的一小步吧。

游戏目前是5个，分别是Pool（台球）、Robo（泡泡龙）、Treasure Hunter（对对碰）、Black Jack（21点）和Match Master（连连看）。

It’s a little bit sad that AIM has no online games like MSN and Yahoo!messenger, but now, you can play QQgames with your AIM buddies through the QQgames plugin.

QQ is the most popular IM in China, its games are popular too. QQ’s parent company Tencent wants to make QQ internationalized, the cooperation with AOL may be a little step of the process. They launched a QQgmaes.com to promote the plugin.

无论是哪一款的邮箱，都会对附件的大小作出限制，大小一般不会超过20M，这不得不说是一个遗憾，于是出现了Yousendit、Mailbigfile等临时存储、发送附件的替代品，但是即使这样，也还是存在附件大小限制的问题，免费服务一般不超过100M。

AOL似乎要解决这个问题了，它拥有一个出色的邮件服务Aol mail，还有一个免费用户也能获得5G存储空间的在线存储服务Xdrive。Aol要把两项服务结合起来，当你发送的附件超过16M时，它会自动把文件上传到Xdrive里（这需要你有一个Xdrive帐号），你的收件人会在自己的信箱里看到这个附件的链接，并可以点击这个链接下载文件。见下图。

另外，你也可以在Xdrive里设置把aol mail中含有的附件都自动保存到Xdrive上来。

遗憾的是，我第一次想粘帖1个adobe reader.exe，第二次想粘帖1个20M的音频文件，但是两次都没有成功上传到Xdrive，也许是这项服务刚刚开始、还不完善的缘故吧。

看来，围绕附件展开的邮箱大战又要开始了，下一个参展者该是google吧。

Send 5GB attachment via Aol mail+Aol Xdrive

Whatever mail you use, it has attachment size limited, so Yousendit、Mailbigfile hit the nitch to provide large attachment sending service, but they have  size limited too, usually can’t be above 100MB  for the free account user.

Now we have chance to pull the limit up to 5G. This is a new service provided by Aol. Aol has a mail cilent Aol mail and an online storage service Xdrive. Now Aol integrate the two service to allow mail user to send an attachment up to 5G.When the attachment size is above 16M, it will automatically upload to your Xdrive account(of course you need sign up one).There will be a clickable url in the mail,your recipient clicks on it to download the attachment file.

I tried twice,the first time is an adobe reader.exe, another time is an audio file, but they both failed to uploader to Xdrive. Maybe the service is just open and not stable yet.

GTAIM是什么？对不起，这是我造的一个词，意思是Gtalk+AIM。现在在Gmail里可以用AIM聊天了！Google和AOL静静的推出了这个产品，在设置-聊天里登入AIM帐号，就会显示你的AIM联系人了。如下图，点击看大图：

这只是Google和AOL合作的第一个成果。Google投资了10亿美元，取得了AOL5%的股份。合作的主要领域是在广告方面，内容搜索优化和IM合作只是其中一小部分。相关内容请见Google的报道。

从去年我开始用AOL提供的防毒软件AVS(anti virus shield)，卡巴斯基(kaspersky)出品，质量过硬，完全免费，可以自动升级。想必同用这款软件的朋友也尝到甜头了。
但是从9月1日起，avs突然不能升级了，查了半天才知道，原来是AOL转而和McAfee合作了，不再提供下载更新了。就算我是免费用户吧，是不是也该通知一声？

好在卡巴斯基仗义，提供了继续升级的办法:

1，完全退出avs
2，打开C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AOL\AVP6\Data 中的文件aol-updcfg.xml
3，删掉<site2 url=”ftp://download.newaol.com/avs/update/mirror/” diff_url=”diffs” weight=”10000001″ region=”*” />
<site2 url=”http://download.newaol.com/avs/update/mirror/” diff_url=”diffs” weight=”10000000″ region=”*” />
4，保存文件,然后重新启动avs就可以了，这时avs会迫不及待的升级，升级完会要求重启电脑，重启后就ok了。

有的朋友可能找不到application data这个文件夹，这是因为系统把这个文件夹隐藏起来了。打开我的电脑，工具选项栏里的文件夹选项，设置一下就好了。
在这件事上，aol有点不地道，卡巴做的还不错。
