点击一种颜色，guitarati就会为你列出一份歌单。同一种颜色还有深浅之分，歌单也会随之变化。和musicovery不同的是，这些歌基本上都是未成名乐队或者歌手的作品，你只能听到歌曲的一部分，如果想完整收听或下载的话就要付费，这也是音乐站点的一般做法。guitarati会和歌手之间分配收入，75%归歌手所有。

这种盈利方式有很大的情感因素在里面，因为自己的心情得到响应，购买的欲望可能更强烈一些。

一个设计人员看到其他媒体上令他感兴趣的设计时，通常想搞清楚人家用的是什么字体，用的是什么层次不同的颜色。但是这并不是一个太简单的事。好，我们来提供两个小工具。

1.WhatTheFont，辨识字体

它是一个在线工具，截取文字图片，或者是文字图片的链接，上传图片，搜索，整个过程很快。比如查一查whatthefont的logo的字体，可以得到下面的结果。

2.Instant Eyedropper，辨识颜色 

这是一个小小的软件，安装后，在系统工具栏里有一个小图标，左键点击这个小图标，不要松手，移到你想要辨识的颜色的区域，就会出现颜色的编码。见下图。

它提供了html/hex/rgb等6种形式的颜色编码。

英语是什么颜色的？这个问题本身就会让人摸不着头脑，更不要说答案了。不过麻省理工大学和纽约大学的科学家们就做了一件看起来不着边际的工作，他们绘出了一张英语颜色图，总体来说是灰色的，不过也有蓝、绿、红镶嵌其中，还不算难看。见下图（截图）。

他们是怎么做到的呢？首先这是针对英语当中所有的名词（不算缩写），共75062个。科学家们依据的是WordNet提供的词汇，并且根据语义关系的远近把这些词分门别类。

颜色从哪里来呢？主要是通过google图片搜索和其他网站得到的免费图片，共使用了79302017张图片。一个词会对应很多图片，那么怎么样确定这个词的颜色呢？科学家们使用了“平均法”，也就是每张图片都取一个平均颜色，然后再混合在一起得到的颜色。

把涂好颜色的词按照语义远近排列起来，就得到这张图了。科学家们说做这张图的目的是看看语义和视觉之间有没有什么关系（现在看来应该是有的）。

那么，汉语是什么颜色的呢？

Have you ever wondered what the English language looks? Yeah, neither have I. But a group of researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and New York University did, and tapping into the billions of images freely available on the Internet, they came up with a visual map of the English language using nearly 80 million of those images. The images are arranged based on the semantic relationship between words, and thus, according to the researchers, the project explores “the relationship between visual and semantic similarity.”Read more.
