我们接着上一篇文章说。本来只想在上文中补充一些就行了，然而要说的话似乎还很多。一句话，谷歌金山词霸宣传有作假嫌疑。这里的宣传是指它的下载页面左侧不停变换的3个截图。先来看看问题最严重的，关于文章/网页的“翻译”。
这是宣传图片。翻译的简直太好了。
我把图中的显示的文字全部敲到谷歌金山词霸里，翻译结果如下图。
大家看一下，翻译软件的结果和宣传图片中的结果相差有多大。由于文章/网页翻译是Google提供的翻译服务，我们再来看看google translate的翻译结果，见下图，点击看大图。
和软件翻译的结果一模一样，看来果真是Google的翻译手笔。这是最大的一个虚假之处。另外，关于“很好很强大”的翻译查找结果也有些问题。
这是宣传图片。第一个翻译查找结果简直太好了。
但是我在翻译软件上却始终找不到这个结果。见下图，图不完整，但是我保证没出现过上图第一个搜索结果。
用爱词霸的短句搜索是可以找到这个结果的，有兴趣的朋友可以试试。所以宣传图片很可能是有根据的。
好了，说句公平的话，谷歌金山词霸比我用的雅虎乐译功能确实强大了不少，当然，体积也大了很不少。
当我开始了解这项叫作audeo的技术的时候，确实感到很震惊。它能够让部分失去言语能力的人重新说话，和周遭的人和环境交流。下图是一个工作原理图。
大脑发送出言语的神经信号，由audeo接收（原本是声带接受），经过加密、传送，到CPU中对信息进行处理，最后通过发声装置发出声音，不，是发出言语。让我们来看一下这段演示视频。
audeo在这个视频中是一个套在脖子上的装置。只要发出了言语，就可以进行更多的操作，比如用声音控制轮椅，这也是audeo技术最先得到的应用；比如声音转化成文字后还可以进行搜索、聊天。wow！
audeo技术由Ambient公司与芝加哥康复研究所、伊力诺依大学等合作伙伴共同开发。目前已经有150个词和短语能够从神经信号中转换，人们经过一些训练就可以掌握。
The Future Of Voice May Be Voiceless
(via techcrunch) According to New Scientist, the neckband translates thought into speech by picking up nerve signals; “with careful training a person can send nerve signals to their vocal cords without making a sound. These signals are picked up by the neckband and relayed wirelessly to a computer that converts them into words spoken by a computerized voice.” Read more.
Lingtastic是一个网络翻译“中介”，需要口译或者笔译的客户到这里发布项目，翻译们竞价，这有点像ebay，不过是出价最低的人获得机会。无论是口译还是笔译，要获得Lintastic的翻译资格都需要接受考核，这一点在注册时有明确的提醒。
Lingtastic目前正处于封闭测试阶段，预计3月正式上线，现在可以申请注册。从网站相关的介绍来看，口译可以使用lingtastic自家的软件，或者skype、google talk、jajah也可以。笔译则可以通过电子邮件、IM，甚至短信。Lingtastic的客户包括公司和个人，翻译内容可能从公司间谈判到写情书都有可能:) Lingtastic从中抽取大概20%的费用:(
Web-Based Translation Service Lingtastic Launches in Closed Beta (Invites)
(via Techcrunch) A new startup called Lingtastic is coming out of stealth today that wants to lower the cost of professional translation services. Using a distributed team of freelance translators around the world, customers will be able to call in, and the translator with the lowest bid will take the call. Read more.
据Mashable报道，Facebook已经建立起一个叫“translations”的社区（也是一个基于facebook的应用），招募志愿者将facebook翻译成多语言版本，这项工作的目的是“任何人在任何地方用任何语言都可以访问facebook”。见下图，点击看大图。
这个社区目前有超过800名译者在工作，facebook并没有明确何时进行更大规模的招募。需要翻译的条目超过1万条，翻译好后，由社区用户进行投票，得票高的条目保留，目前可以参加投票的用户超过1.5万人。
Facebook的这种做法，显然受到了google多语言版本翻译的启发，主要由志愿者完成。但是目前正在翻译哪些语言，哪种语言版本将最先推出，还都无从知晓。
Facebook prepares launching multi-language version
(via Mashable) Facebook is turning to their own platform and community to help translate the site into other languages. The company has launched an app called “Translations,” that is a community effort to make the site available in your language of choice. The goal, according to Facebook, is to make the site “available to everyone, everywhere, in all languages.”Read more.
Gtalk推出了跨语种聊天翻译机器人服务，你可以在多人会话中添加一个聊天翻译机器人，作为同声翻译，或者只是简单的把它作为一个翻译工具也可以。左图是两个人聊天加英中、中英两种机器人。
现在推出并且能够正常使用的有24种聊天机器人，ar2en，de2en，de2fr，el2en，en2ar，
en2de，en2el，en2es，en2fr，en2it，en2ja，
en2ko，en2nl，en2ru， en2zh，es2en， fr2de，fr2en， it2en，ja2en，ko2en，nl2en， ru2en，zh2en。想要添加这些机器人的话，只要添加××@bot.talk.google.com就可以了。
值得注意的是，在早先的一份机器人名单中，还有保加利亚、芬兰、Hindi（北印度语）、克罗地亚、乌克兰、Urdu（通行于印度和巴基斯坦的一种语言）这6种语言翻译到英语的服务，但是现在还不能添加使用，而这6种语言翻译在Google translate当中是不存在的。
另外，不要再谈什么Babel fish了，Gtalk机器人完全采用的是google自家的翻译技术，google和systran公司的合作早已经结束了。
好了，就说到这里吧，我们只能把机器翻译当作一个节日小游戏，和国外的朋友相互问候一下，除了一些词和短语，不要指望它能表达你的丰富的感情。它会像中国的xiaoi一样很快销声匿迹的。
Gtalk Bots, only a holiday game
Gtalk offers 24 tranlation bots to help people from different country have a coversation using their mother language, or just as a im translation tool.
The 24 translation bots currently avaible are:ar2en, de2en, de2fr, el2en, en2ar, en2de, en2el, en2es, en2fr, en2it, en2ja, en2ko, en2nl, en2ru, en2zh, es2en, fr2de, fr2en, it2en, ja2en, ko2en, nl2en, ru2en, zh2en.
Somthing interesting is Bulgarian, Finnish, Hindi, Croatian, Ukranian and Urdu are in one previous bot list, but these service are not even included in Google translate, this will be their debut.
Don’t say babel fish anymore, gtalk bot is powered ty google’s own translation technology, the co-operation between google and systran was over months ago.
Ok, that’s it.Don’t think these bots can make your conversation fluently and clearly, it’s too hard to artificial intelligence now.It’s only a holiday game. Gtalk bots will vanished soon as the similar bot Xiaoi in China.
从来没想过对辞典指手划脚（那是多么高深的玩意儿！），但是在Lingoz可以，因为它是一个wiki式的在线辞典。
首先不得不提一下lingoz的妈妈——babylon，一款出色的桌面翻译软件。据说已经售出了160万套！以色列人还是很牛的。lingoz具有妈妈的好遗传，又借助wikipedia的力量，他的基本的辞典功能还是很好的，可以很好的look up，比如查找provoke这个词。
具有wiki显著特点的是这4个功能：提交新词（add new），给出定义（define），投票（vote），研讨（explore）。你知道cul8r的意思吗？不知道的话，就可以这个词。然后会有人给出定义，其他的人就可以投票。呵呵，看看答案吧。
可以看到，它还支持html格式的标签（tag）。
研讨（Explore）主要是针对一些专业词汇的，很专业啊，不过我们也可以评论或者提出自己的解释。
