(via techcrunch) Flickr users can now add video clips alongside their photos, a much requested and much anticipated feature that has been promised for over a year.
…The goal is not to have people upload long videos or clips of copyrighted material. To reinforce that, videos can be only 90 seconds in length and 150MB in size. Read more.
Google.cn adds 7 tags below search box(see pic above) again since last October. The 7 tags are include video, photo, news, map, blog, rank, website navigator.
It’s a little bit complex than the traditional style, but the tags are designed still very nice. Maybe it’s only an unconventional promotional approach of the products, don’t know how long it will be there.
Baidu? Google.cn? Who will add traffic info to map first?
Yestoday, MapQuest annouced a new feature in its map service, adding real-time traffic info. It’s what google maps have over a year ago. But MapQuest has construction and incident marks on the map, it’s what google doesn’t have.
In China, real- time traffic info is absence both in Baidu maps and Google.cn maps. Who will get it first?
Asterpix Video Hotspots Now Generated Automatically
(via Techcrunch) Asterpix is a company working on technology that adds so-called hotspots to video. These hotspots, which look like dash-bordered boxes, hover over particular objects in a video and can be triggered to show popup information when you place your cursor over them. The popup information has relevance to the object under consideration and consist of things like a description, related links, related videos, and theoretically advertisements. Read more.
