英国图书出版业巨头Penguin于3月下旬推出了一项名为“We tell stories”的新书推广项目。6位作者的6本小说，将在6周时间内，在互联网上以各种新奇的方式与读者见面。

“THE 21 STEPS”的亮相方式委实匪夷所思，它竟然让我们在google地图上阅读！地图上会标出主人公的行走路线，告诉你故事发生的具体位置，目前已经连载到第9章了。

“SLICE”则是模拟了博客的方式，一种是在livejournal上，一种是在twitter上，SLICE这本书是由女儿Slice和她的父母的日志两部分构成的。

“FAIRY TALES”采用的是一种互动的方式，你必须相继填写女儿的名字、国王的名字，选择能够提供帮助的动物等等一系列东西，才能不断的向下阅读，而情节中就有你提供的元素了。

“YOUR PLACE AND MINE”伦敦时间下周一晚6:30正式开始，现场直播作者的写作过程！

还有两本书，只知道发布日期，但名字和具体方式还不清楚，期待。

VidyUp是一个简单、有趣、有用的服务，它提供了一个widget，把这个widget嵌入到你的博客里，就可以用它把视频上传到youtube啦。下图是它的操作界面。

主要就是一个个性化widget的过程，选择主体（body）、边框（border）、文字（text）、链接（links）和背景（background）的颜色。点击颜色的小方块会出现一个调色板，选一种颜色，右侧示例的widget就会相应改变颜色，直到你满意为止。

然后是一个简单的注册，填好email和密码就行了。上传视频需要一段时间，完成后，vidyup会发信通知，并把视频的嵌入代码附在信里。

这个widget除了自己用之外，更大的用处还在于可以在自己的博客上轻松的举办一个视频活动，单独注册一个youtube帐户和一个vidyup，大家就可以在你的网站上上传视频，这些视频都被自动存放在一个youtube帐户里。特别适合以视频为主的中小站点办活动用。

Magnify’s VidyUp Uploads to YouTube, with a Widget 

(via mashable) …Today, Magnify’s use of the YouTube API is a slight departure from Magnify’s central service, but will be incorporated more deeply, later on down the line. Magnify’s actually launching a standalone service called VidyUp, which enables website owners to allow their members to upload videos via a widget placed on their site. The video goes to YouTube, where it’s hosted, and becomes available through your website, in a custom skinned VidyUp player. Read more.
