冰山居然有这么多颜色！海藻形成了蓝色，沉积物形成了黄色和棕色，深蓝色是冰融化又被快速冻起来的样子。
这张照片是G.O. Sars科考船上的一位海员拍摄的，他叫Oyvind Tangen，今年62岁，冰山出现的位置是在南极海域一个叫Leif Nøttestad的地方附近。更多照片请看这里。

今天是地球日，不过有些扫兴的是，并没有看到世界自然基金会或者联合国环境署有什么吸引人的举动。Google在昨天推出了地球日地图，大家可以写写今天想干点什么，能对环境有好处，还可以录成视频，传到youtube上，然后也加到这张地图里。比如这个科罗拉多女孩要做的就是自己带着袋子去购物。
Google在去年地球日的时候，把logo画成了一座正在融化的冰山，提醒人们气候正在变暖。看明天google会带来什么吧。
Google’s Earth Day Mashup: Maps + YouTube
(via mashable) Last year, Google made quite a splash on Earth Day with a logo showing an iceberg sinking into the ocean. While we don’t know what the company has in store for this year’s logo (Earth Day is tomorrow), we do know that they’ve already pushed live a mashup of Google Maps and YouTube where users can share their Earth Day projects and what they are doing to “honor Earth Day and global climate change.”Read more.
