Dimp是一款有些神奇的视频播放器，如果你想向前后者向后观看的话，可以直接拖动画面，而不是传统的拖动滚动条，这显然有一个好处，那就是可以更快速的找到想看的那段画面。看看下面这段视频吧。

如果你想亲身体验这款播放器模型的话，可以到这里下载。建议下载24M的播放器+示例，因为这款模型目前还只能胜任比较小的视频，而且是AVI格式，示例都是最多不超过3M的视频。另外，Dimp需要在.Net 2.0上运行。而且需要VfW 解码器，如果你的机器里没有的话，可以下载XviD试试。

我试验了一下，拖动内容的时候没有视频中显得那么清晰，可能是我的机器配置的问题。另外向后拖动没有问题，而向前拖动的话，只能在缓冲条已经缓冲完的地方，就像观看网络视频一样。

Apture是进入4月以来最让我兴奋的网站工具，它是提供快照，看上去就像这个网站上无所不在的snapshot一样。但是，apture和snapshot有着本质的不同，它不是简单的提供个快照，然后链接过去了事；而是让读者不用离开网站，就能看到链接的内容，并且即使点击快照中的链接也不会离开网站。有点抽象？看看下图吧，点击看大图。

这是前两天的一篇“灵异”文章，居然在20000光年的地方发现了火狐的Logo。大家可以注意以下，文中有两个链接（蓝圈所示）前面多了维基百科的标志，当鼠标滑过时，就会弹出这个窗口，讲得是关于这颗星星的故事。窗口中还有很多链接，点击它们就会在旁边再打开一个窗口，总之，既让你可以看到内容，又不会离开这个网页。（更新：1. Apture来信通知说出现了一些故障，故本站里的apture暂不可用；2. 问题已修复）

这就是apture的优势所在，它自己有一个演示页面，大家可以去看看。

Apture drags online news experience into the 21st century

If a reader sees a term in an article that they want to learn more about, and additional content has been enabled through Apture, they can click on that phrase, and a small window will open with the new content. For example, if a political figure you don’t know much about is mentioned in an article, you can click on their name and it might bring up the Wikipedia article; you might also be able to open additional windows showing a photo or a video of their latest public appearance. 有的网站是让人一看就糊涂那种，Buru就是，它的宣传语是“社群过滤的力量（the power of social filtering）”，什么意思呢？有点让人摸不着头脑。可是看看它的操作界面，你会有恍然大悟的感觉，甚至有些吃惊。见下图，点击看大图。

在左侧用红框圈着的有两个大项，第一项是“我的订阅（my subscriptions）”，它实际是一个阅读器，就像前几天介绍过的shyftr一样。与shyftr不同的是，buru还不能直接添加feed，而只能通过搜索订阅站内介绍过的站点的feed，和订阅小组的消息。如果想订阅别的网站该怎么办呢？我们下面再讲。

第二项是“我的收藏（my collections）”，这实际上是一个书签管理器。那么这些书签是怎么来的呢？最下面的红框圈着的是buru提供的工具条（目前有IE和Firefox两个版本），订阅别的网站的feed和收藏网站就要用到它。其中的“article”可以只收藏文章的部分文字，而image和video两个选项可以把网页中的图片或者视频单独收藏起来，并且可以在站内播放。

说到这里，buru的故事就快讲完了。不，它其实还有一个更大的野心，隐藏在设置（settings）里，见下图。

它可以导入本地书签，导入flickr、youtube、blogger、delicious、picasa上的内容，相信很快还会有更多的网站加入。这不就是像我们介绍过的secondbrain和friendfeed一样的社群聚合功能吗？

导入的一切都会放到“我的收藏”里。但是我的firefox收藏夹却怎么也导不进来。

“好上加好”，这词怎么听着像所谓亲戚或世交之间为儿女包办婚姻啊，这里只是借用一下，说的是为自己喜欢的视频再添加一些有趣的内容，这就是Asterpix做的事。先看看下面这段视频吧(opera用户如果看不到，请点击这里查看)。

这段视频中总共加了4条内容，每当佟大为的头上出现一个方框的时候，鼠标滑过，就会显示添加的内容，点击链接就会在新窗口中打开，视频还是在原窗口打开，这一点不太方便。

为视频添加内容很简单，首先通过asterpix的搜索框搜索一段youtube视频，然后点击“add note”，在某个人物的头上画个圈（还有别的形状，在style里），再加上链接、说明、标签就可以了。asterpix的智能之处在于划定区域可以自动跟踪人物，当然，位置还不是那么准确。每段添加的内容下面还会自动出现相关内容的youtube视频图标，可以随时观看。

添加过的内容还可以进行修改（当添加内容出现后，点击空白处，会看到edit），比如上面说到的链接、说明、标签，还有划定区域出现的时间，或者干脆删除。见下图。

添加好内容的视频，可以拿给朋友分享，或者贴到自己的空间里。Asterpix和我们讲过的overlay.tv有些相像，不过后者偏重于广告方面。

These hotspots, which look like dash-bordered boxes, hover over particular objects in a video and can be triggered to show popup information when you place your cursor over them.
