零碳、零废物、无车之城将在中东崛起

昨天，世界自然基金会（WWF）与阿联酋首都阿布达比市签署了一项合作协议，阿布达比市所辖的马斯达市（Masdar city）加入WWF的“一个地球生活（One Planet Living）”项目，目标是建成一个零碳、零废物、无车之城，成为世界上最最绿色的城市。
这个项目将由马斯达市独立执行，并由公众评估效果。项目的另一个目标是增加这个地区的生物多样性。
这个6平方公里的城市的电能将由光电电池组产生，冷却用的能量由中央太阳能系统提供。水由一个由太阳能提供能量的盐水淡化工厂提供，市内景观和市郊农业用水将使用废水处理厂提供的经过处理的中水。
马斯达市想把自己建成一个可持续发展城市的标尺。
