GlobalGrind号称是facebook的竞争者，然而打开界面一看，原来它提供的是个性化个人主页服务。主页的内容则是由各种wigets所组成，有网站内容，也有Rss Feed。
GlobalGrind真的为用户准备了很多网站的widgets，你可以添加到一个栏目底下，也可以放到自己设置的一个栏目下面。见下图，点击看大图。
从新闻到视频到音乐，包括体育比赛，这么丰富的widgets都可以添加到globalgrind上。当然，除了添加别人的内容之外，你也可以用import content这项服务来添加自己的网站内容，这样对自己网站的传播很有好处。比如，我添加了我的博客：

Picnik可不是一个推荐野餐地点、注意事项什么的网站，它是一个在线图片编辑、效果处理的平台，先看看我做的一张图前后对比吧。

还不错吧（至少变化比较大，哈哈）。
制作过程很简单，从电脑或者flickr（或其他图片分享网站）上传照片，然后就可以对图片进行自动修复、旋转、颜色调整等等，这和一般的图片在线编辑平台没有什么区别。速度很流畅，舒服。这属于编辑（edit）阶段。
最有特色的是创造（create）阶段。
可以添加的效果有很多，可以加文字，边框，搞笑的touch-up，操作也是很快。完成之后，就可以储存或者和世界分享了！

影像修复往往是专业人士才能做的事，现在我们可以在Fixmymovie上初步的完成了。
我们需要做的事情很简单，把自己想要修复的视频上传到网站上，视频就会自动被修复。首先看到的是前10秒修复前和修复后图片的对比，这10秒的图像会在几分钟之内修复好，修复好之后，会给你的e-mail发一封通知信。
比较修复前后的图像，如果感到满意的，你就可以选择完全修复。
注册之后，我的帐户里被自动充值了20美元，看来这个服务是要收费的，免费的只是前10秒或一段时间而已，全部修复肯定是要收费的。
另外，可修复的视频像素在352×288以内，因此，可能只适用于比较老的照相手机或者数码相机。不过这只是beta版本。

BT（bit torrent）的恶名来自于盗版，甚至在有些人眼里，BT是盗版的代名词。
BT几乎是每个网民都用过的搜索和下载工具，难道我们使用过的人都成了强盗？显然不是。BT本质上是一种p2p工具（peer to peer），体现的是一种分享的p2p精神。
BT的内容来自于个人，他的最终目的也是个人。这就好像我有一把漂亮的小刀，然后我把他拿给朋友们看。原来我只是拿给一个人看，现在却有很多人一块儿看。他们都从我的分享行为中得到了乐趣。
这怎么能同盗版等同起来呢？这就好比我的那把漂亮的小刀在递给朋友时，突然被强盗抢走了，然后强盗用这把小刀刺伤了人。难道因此我和我的朋友就都成了强盗？
显然不是，分享是没有错的，有错的是利用别人的分享行为来犯罪的人，比如那些依靠盗版牟利的人。
Demonoid这个全球第二大的BT搜索平台，其位于加拿大的服务器被关停了。而服务器提供商的压力正是来自于加拿大音像工业协会（Canadian Recording Industry Association ，CRIA）。
Suprnova也曾遭受过服务器被关停的事情，不过现在，他又回来了。
拔掉服务器的电缆不会起到任何作用，相反，现在提供免费音像服务的公司（包括fox,nbc这样的大公司）越来越多，这些公司找到了不同的盈利模式（大多数是用流量吸引广告），因此愿意向用户提供免费服务。那些喜欢拔电缆的人，是否也要把他们的电缆都拔掉？
解决问题的办法归根结底有两个：要么把所有的强盗都抓起来；要么寻找新的盈利模式。
BT Never Die

This is the statement coming from Demonoid, the world second largest tracker online. The isp pulled out the plug by being pressured from CRIA(Canadian Recording Industry Association).
BT is thought of the origin of pirate by the recording industry.But the nature of BT is a spirit of P2P–share. You have something good and you want your friend watch it, the content is coming from person and go to the other person.
The pirate is not the mistake of BT, but people who use it to get commercial benefit.
Today some representative of the record industry has changed their mind. Now they allow the user to enjoy for free with ad-supported content.
What the record industry should do to against the pirate one is catching all the bad people, another is to change the benefit module.
无论是购物，还是要做个什么决定，听听有经验的人是怎么说的，很重要。到哪里去找有经验的人呢？Attendi可能能够帮到你。比如我想买一辆车，我就输入“car”，搜索得到了这样的结果：
搜出了三个家伙的名字（当然不在线的还有几个），通过简介看得出来，他们对车感兴趣，当然可能跟你的兴趣点不一样，如果你愿意的话，你可以找他们聊聊（talk now）。
不得不说，这是一个好创意，用搜索引擎的话，很少能找到活生生的人，更别提和他们说话了，但同时，别人（特别是有经验的人）的意见对我们又是那么重要！attendi找到了一个很好的点！
当然，他还不只搜索和聊天这么简单，它是建立在一个庞大社区基础之上的，因为搜索到的人、交谈的人都是这个社区里的人 。所以我们都要参与其中，因为我们都是某一方面的高手！
Attendi：raise your hand and make the world better

This is what Attendi announced to the world. It’s full of passion. It provides a platform people with certain power (experience) come together to make up of a powerful community, you can meet the right people and talk to them when you need help.
This community depends on the attendance of many people, it’s not so easy.
一直麻烦不断的Hulu终于传来了利好消息，他将于10月正式上线。这个消息是由NBC首席数码官（chief digital officer）George Kliavkoff公布的。
重要的不是这个消息，而是Kliavkoff言语中流露出的复杂心情。Kliavkoff多次提到了失败（failure）这个词。也许是前一段时间关于hulu不好的消息太多了，以至于许多人认为hulu将会失败。
Kliavkoff说了一大套话来解释失败和成功之间的关系：
“你不得不失败的快一点，然后找到你的错误，减少损失，成功就孕育在这种快速失败的过程之中。”
那么hulu为什么会成功呢？原本只想在hulu上提供免费观看的NBC大剧，现在在NBC自己的网站上已经挂出来了。对此Kliavkoff解释说，他们会采取激励用户的办法，不过他并没有公布具体是什么激励办法。
另外，让Kliavkoff满怀信心的是NBC大剧专业的制作品质，他说：“在有了专业制作的内容和激励办法的情况下，我不相信观看者将会永远更加喜欢用户自己制造的内容。”
显然，Kliavkoff也清楚，现在用户更加喜欢自己制造的内容(youtube是最杰出的代表)。但是他最后说，专业制作的内容结合激励机制将会取得胜利。
hulu真的能够打败Youtube吗？Kliavkoff的话听起来底气不足。就像一位没落的贵族憧憬着王朝的复辟。
但是专业内容确实是有自身的优势，而且youtube上也充斥着专业内容的片段。
一集完整的英雄（heros）和10个4分钟的heros片段，我更倾向于观看前者。

Hulu will launch in October
Problem surrounded Hulu will launch in October according to the George Kliavkoff, NBC Universal’s chief digital officer.
To the problems, George is optimistic to say “you have to fail fast in order to quickly identify your errors and cut your losses.”
NBC will provide incentive for viewers to spend time on Hulu. George has full confidence on hulu, he said “at the end of the day, premium, produced content wins”.

Thepudding是一家提供网上免费通话服务的公司，与skype不同的是，他是基于web的。另外，现在服务的范围只局限在北美地区。它提出了一个大胆的想法，当用户通话时，会在网页上出现个性化的广告。纽约时报公布了这种广告的形式：
而这种个性化从何而来呢？Thepudding解释说，用户的谈话内容不会被任何人监听，不会被记录，用户信息更不会被泄漏或交易。对用户的谈话分析完全是由机器作出的。
我想，听到这个说法的人大都会将信将疑，或者严厉抨击。不过Techcrunch的评论的倒也很有道理，“这就和gmail没什么两样，gmail里的广告也是根据对信件的内容分析作出的，而且用户越来越不关心自己散布在互联网上的信息，总是把个人信息交给陌生的公司。”
事实确实是这样的，我注册一个网站，必然会被要求填写个人信息，如果是一个社区网站的话，这就更为重要。而网站会对你的信息作出分析，投入相对精确的广告，本质上，pudding的盈利模式也是如此。
但是，自己说话的时候好像总有一只耳朵在旁边，总是不舒服的。
如果skype也采取类似的模式，我们该怎么办呢？

Ah, it still feels weird. But Techcrunch thinks it’s ok, it has no difference with the gmail ads. Your mail content be kown and analyzed in order to display the related ads.
听说LiveMocha时，并没有特别的感觉，只不过觉得又是一个在线语言学习平台而已。可是当我看到大片的咖啡背景，而那颜色简直能挑动我的味蕾时，我决定好好看看。
注册时你需要填写你想学什么语言，你对哪种语言又讲得比较好，因为mocha在根本上是个社区，在这里你有朋友，然后互相学习。注册当中有一个环节，让你挑选你的课程。而当你注册完成时，刚才挑选的课程就会显示出来。看来mocha也深知督促的重要性。
课程比较有意思，比如这个名为magnet的翻译练习，你要把字符拖拽到下面的小框里。然后打一下对勾。
有一个问题，就是课程设置太简单了，似乎beta版的容量不足。当然，最重要的还是找到你的朋友，一起聊聊。
